Kicked in the Gut

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted

and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18 NIV
same verse from "The Message"
If your heart is broken, you'll find God right there;

if you're kicked in the gut, He'll help you catch your breath.

The NIV translastion gave me peace.

The Message version gave me a chuckle...that's how I feel right now; "kicked in the gut"

Please pray that the Lord will continue to stay close to those of us who are brokenhearted over Mom's recent diagnosis...that He will help us to catch our breath.

Looks like Mom may get to go home early next week.
